Stockton Regional Rehabilitation Hospital Launches New Loan Repayment Program for Full-Time Therapists

Stockton Regional Rehabilitation Hospital has launched a new student loan repayment program designed to support and attract full-time physical, occupational, and speech therapy professionals. The hospital provides specialized rehabilitative care to individuals who have experienced disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions, including strokes, brain injuries, spinal injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, amputations, and more.

Through the Ernest Health Student Loan Contribution Program, eligible full-time therapists may receive monthly employer contributions toward their student loan debt. The program provides $200 per month during the first year of enrollment, increasing to $250 per month in the second year and $300 per month beginning in the third year, which continues until the loan is paid off or eligibility ends.

“This program is another way we demonstrate our commitment to supporting our employees’ financial well-being,” says Justin Joy, CEO of Stockton Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. “By easing student loan debt, we hope to empower our therapists to focus on their professional growth and future financial stability.”

The benefit is available to full-time physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants, and physical therapy assistants. Newly eligible employees may enroll beginning the first month following 30 days of employment.

In addition to employer loan contributions, the program also offers access to student loan refinancing options, which may help participants lower total loan costs over time.
